360 degree feedback: What is it?
A 360-degree feedback is a survey method in which the professional and personal competencies of a manager are determined from different external perspectives and the self-assessment.
By comparing the individual perspectives in the evaluation of the results, differences between the self-perception and the perception by others can be revealed.
In addition, it also shows in which areas the manager has weaknesses, in order to promote these in a targeted manner.
Thus, a 360 degree feedback is an instrument to specifically strengthen the weaknesses of executives, which contribute to the success of the company.
The classic variant of 360 degree feedback is the variant in which an assessment of an executive is made from 4 perspectives (90 degrees * 4 = 360 degrees):

Perspective 1: Self
Perspective 2: Manager
Perspective 3: Peers
Perspective 4: Supplier
Over time, this has led to variations in which we speak of 90, 180 or 270 degree feedback when 1, 2 or 3 perspectives are missing from the assessment.
