To make your quiz or test fun and a success, formulating good questions is important. We have put together a few tips below on how to create entertaining and interesting questions:
1. Short and concise
Keep your questions and answers as short as possible and formulate them clearly. If there are different possible interpretations or if the text is too long, your participants will quickly lose interest in participating.
2. Quality of the answer options
Keep your answer choices as equal in length as possible. Avoid hiding clues to the correct answer in the answer choices. Three good options are better than five superficial ones.
3. Vary question and answer types
There are different types of quiz questions. Possible examples are multiple-choice, true or false, sorting questions and cloze texts. Furthermore, it is possible to select picture answers or free text answers.
Another option is to use questions with one or more correct answer options.
Tip: Use different question types for a quiz. This creates variety and motivates the quiz participants to answer your questions until the end.

5. Get feedback
Before publishing, ask someone not involved in the creation to play through the quiz or test. This gives you the opportunity to avoid potential ambiguities that may arise when working through the test in advance.
