Secure German data protection

Participation in surveys from easyfeedback
With easyfeedback, we offer companies and private individuals the opportunity to conduct online surveys, collect feedback and evaluate the results. We don’t want you to have to worry about data protection and show you here how we implement data protection and what rights you have.
Secure German data protection
As the most important basis, we have decided to have a server in Germany in order to fulfill data protection requirements. All data that is collected, stored and processed via easyfeedback is ONLY stored and processed within Germany at the Cronon GmbH data center (ISO 27001 ). Our server architecture is redundant and offers maximum availability and security.
Furthermore, all surveys are secured by SSL encryption method by default. Thus, your answers are already transmitted encrypted and cannot be read by third parties.
Participation in surveys
When you participate in a survey at easyfeedback, we store your answers and the type of device you use to participate in the survey and make this available to our customers in the form of graphs and as Excel and CSV files. easyfeedback does not create user profiles of participants in any way or store demographic or geographic data. Your participation in easyfeedback surveys is fundamentally anonymous. Our system can only establish a connection between you and the results if this has been set up by our customers. If you are asked for personal data within the survey, it is your decision to provide this data and make it available to our customers with your answers.
Your answers will remain stored on our server until our customers delete them or the account is completely deleted. After deletion, the backup can only be restored by a very time-consuming and costly procedure, within 14 days retrospectively.
To make participation in easyfeedback surveys as convenient as possible, we use up to seven anchor points that our customers can choose to use. Using these anchor points, we can identify you as a participant and assign the answers already given to you. This allows you to interrupt the survey at any time and continue it at a later date without having to re-enter your answers. And you can move forward or backward within the survey if allowed by the customer.
We use the following anchor points:
- Your email address: Our customers can use imported participant lists to send invitations via easyfeedback. In doing so, your email address and, if applicable, your salutation, first name, last name and individual details are stored on our server until our customer or we delete them again.
- Individual invitation link: If you have received an invitation to a survey via our invitation tool, your invitation link is cryptically individualized. If you pause the survey and click on the invitation link a second time, our system recognizes you based on the individualized link and assigns you the answers you have already given and on which page you left the survey.
- Personalized survey link: The survey link can be manually personalized by our customers. This allows the system to a) recognize you as a participant, and b) allows our customers to personalize your participation. In this case, the personalization added by the customer is stored on our server and linked to your answers.
- Session ID: When you open the survey, a session ID is created in your browser. Within the session ID, we store you as a participant and thus pass your participant ID from one page to the next.
- Cookies and IP addresses: Our customers can prevent multiple participation through cookie and/or IP blocking. With cookie blocking, we set a cookie on the device you use to complete the survey and match it with our data. The cookie is automatically deleted after 90 days. You can find more information about cookies below. With IP blocking, we store your IP address (encrypted and unreadable) and match it when you access the survey again. We delete your IP address as soon as the survey ends or it closes automatically.
- Access code: In addition to cookie and IP blocking, our customers can prevent multiple participation by using access codes. These randomly generated access codes are stored on our server and can identify you as a participant. Access codes do not contain any personal information and are deleted from our server as soon as the survey is deleted.
All data stored through participation is secured by SSL encryption process by default. We store this data in order to offer the service of online surveys to our customers. We do not create user profiles, do not make duplicate copies of the data, do not use foreign loopholes in data protection, do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties. The responsibility and further processing for the collected data/results lies with our customers. We only provide the technical possibilities to conduct surveys and interviews online.
Anonymous participation
In principle, participation in easyfeedback surveys is anonymous. Our system cannot establish a connection between the standard survey link and you. Only if the author (customer) sets a personalization or you are asked for personal data within the survey, the participation in the survey is no longer anonymous.
If you are asked for personal data within the survey, it is your decision to provide it and make it available to the author (customer).
Responsible party for the content
The author (customer) is responsible for the content and structure of the survey. We, easyfeedback, provide the technical facilities for conducting surveys. If you have any queries about the content or your stored data, please contact the author (customer) of the survey.
In accordance with order processing, we are obligated to forward inquiries to the responsible person (author).
